OECD working paper 259: “Introducing individual savings accounts for severance pay in Spain: An ex-ante assessment of the distributional effects”.
The report considers a reform that replaces the current severance payment system with individual saving accounts financed through periodic contributions by employers and has featured prominently in the policy debate in Spain recently (“mochila austriaca”).
Mr. Salvatori is a Labour Economist in the Employment, Labour and Social Affairs Department at the OECD, Paris. He holds a PhD at the University of Warwick (UK).
